After researching the stereotypes for "First Responders", I've noticed how most of them were very positive. Most of the time, they are portrayed as the everyday "hero" and, honestly, they deserve it. However, these stereotypes still have a negative effect on these people. One of them is their mental health. Because of how they are portrayed as superheroes (sometimes above) they put a large amount of pressure on themselves and this affects their mental health negatively. A research shows that many first responders will be less likely to confront their mental health for fear of being seen as "weak".
